There is a maternal health crisis among the United States and Brooklyn NY has the highest rate of maternal health disparities due to lack of knowledge and race. It is unacceptable that our mothers and babies are at higher risk, and we aim to change that with our comprehensive Materna Doula Health program. A Doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

In efforts to improving Maternal & Infant Health we have received support from Elevance Health Foundation to provide Doula Relief services starting 2023 for expecting mothers residing in Brooklyn NY who are low income and in need. We are excited to announce contiinued support from Elevance Health Foundation for 2024. We are glad to have partnered with Sistahood of Birthworkers Agency and onboard 7 Certified Community Based Doulas from this Agency.
